DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist is an advanced allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required ultrasound and vascular modalities provided within the scope of the Imaging Services Department. Ability to effectively communicate pertinent patient information to the radiologist. Ability to deliver quality customer service
REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience: One year experience in all areas where routine diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures are provided to include geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonate patient populations. Must be able to perform Abdominal and OB general procedures, and arterial, venous, and carotid Doppler vascular procedures.
Education/Licensure: * Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required * Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RVT) (preferred) * BCLS (CPR for Health Care Provider) – required
