Formed in 2009, the SDMS Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization affiliated with the SDMS. The SDMS Foundation fosters professional learning and excellence by working to improve the field of diagnostic medical sonography.
This position provides patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment. The sonographer is competent in the production and analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of sonographic services.
Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health) accredited school required; registered by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
