Formed in 2009, the SDMS Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization affiliated with the SDMS. The SDMS Foundation fosters professional learning and excellence by working to improve the field of diagnostic medical sonography.
Manages the technical and operational aspects of the department for efficient, cost effective and timely performance of diagnostic test results. Assumes responsibilities for procedural and system controls, problem solving, teaching, coaching and supervising. Maintains all necessary QC,QA and documents required by accreditation agencies. Maintains continuing education credits. Acts as the Manager in the absence of the Manager. Manages both US and the VL departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent required
Completion of an approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements set by the RDMS
Must be certified by the RDMS or eligible to become certified within 6 months
